Writing in Business vs Academic Writing

It was interesting to do the essay skills course this morning as the expectation from an academic perspective does differ from a business one.

Having been very used to writing PIDs, business cases, technical solutions, proposals etc it was interesting to learn that I have to re-think. I like the fact that this is going to challenge my conventional writing style which I can almost do on auto-pilot, get the grey matter really working.

Back to my role as an Internet Project Manager tomorrow, before returning on Thursday for the start of the ‘Introduction to Marketing’ module. Also, have my meeting with Dedoko (my developer for Assist Employment) to discuss the site update and partnership with JobG8 – exciting time for the business.

  1. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally,
it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You definitely know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be
giving us something enlightening to read?

  2. Fair comment Vedika, I am aware that I have not picked up on my blog for quite a while. A perfect push to re-ignite my blogging again.

No excuses, however my time has been taken up writing a book on e-recruitment which should be available by April this year. The book is a follow on from my MSc all that I learnt and in particular my dissertation. If you are on LinkedIn join my group ‘Online Recruitment’ to get latest updates and special offers.
